  Jimmy Carroll has had a passion for comedy and art since his childhood. As a child his summers were spend drawing , painting, listening to Bill Cosby records and reading MAD magazine. The work of Don Martin and Mort Drucker in the pages of MAD fascinated and inspired him. When listening to Bill Cosby records he realized Cosby was doing the same as the artist of MAD only with the spoken word. When he was ten years of age, his father took him to see Bill Cosby perform at the Temple Music Fair. Cosby captivated the audience with only a stool and a microphone. From that moment on Jimmy Knew he wanted to be a stand-up comedian.

   While attending Kutztown University, Jimmy entered the world of Stand-Up Comedy. In 1984,Jimmy was the winner of the "Funniest College Student Contest" held at the Comedy Works in Philadelphia. He later went on to take first place in "The Second Annual Comedy Showdown" held at the Comedy Stop at the Tropicana in Atlantic City N.J. By the time he had graduated with a degree in Fine Arts Jimmy was a full time comedian.

  Since that time he has gone on to perform in comedy clubs across the country. These clubs include Catch A Rising Star, Stand-Up NY, The Comic Strip, Improv, Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, Comedy stop, The Funny Bone And on and on. Jimmy has performed for the U.S. troops in Korea, Japan, Okinawa, The Philippines, and Guam. He has even flown with the Navy’s Blue Angels.   Jimmy has worked with Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano, Jeff Foxworthy, Richard Jeni, Rosie O' Donnell, Richard Belzer, Carol Leifer, Nina Simone, David Beinot, Chuck Mangione, Spyro Gyro, Todd Rundgren, and many more.

  Jimmy's television appearances include "A&E's An Evening At The Improv", Comedy Central's "Stand Up And Deliver', Espn II and more. Jimmy co-stared in the movies "Searching For Paradice", and "Meter Maid".

  Jimmy can be seen on the high seas performing on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Norwegian, and Holland American Cruise Lines.

  Jimmy's clean clever style of comedy keeps him on the road 200 plus days a year performing for millions of people.

  Jimmy still kept to his fine arts roots by freelancing and even writing and illustrating two books all while continuing to tour. Jimmys cartoons are a regular feature in the Bucks County Free Press.
